Nick Waters
Managing Partner
Nick is a co-founding Managing Partner of RCP and holds primary responsibility for the day to day operations and water investment strategies of the firm.
Nick holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (University of Queensland), a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment (Securities institute of Australia), a Graduate Diploma of Technical Analysis, and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Agribusiness Executive Program (Harvard University).
Previously, Nick was responsible for a number of Australian water entitlement investment portfolios on behalf of Australian and international investors, and has held senior roles in agribusinesses involved in the trading, marketing and price risk management of a range of agricultural commodities in Australia and Asia.
Patrick Hayden
Managing Partner
Patrick, a co-founding Managing Partner of RCP, is responsible for the firm’s US operations and is involved in a broad spectrum of business functions.
Patrick holds a Master of Business Administration – Distinction (University of Oxford), a Masters of Economic Studies (University of New England) and a Bachelor of Agribusiness (University of Queensland).
Previously, Patrick held various senior roles in investment, asset management, agricultural finance and corporate agriculture in Australia and North America.
Michael Blakeney
Managing Partner and Chair
Michael is a Managing Partner of RCP, Chairman of the Board and holds primary responsibility for the diversified agricultural investment strategies of the firm.
Michael holds a Master of Science (University of London), a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics (University of Queensland), and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Agribusiness Executive Program (Harvard University).
Previously, Michael was responsible for a number of institutional agricultural investment portfolio’s investing across farmland, agricultural infrastructure and agribusinesses on behalf of Australian and International investors.
Brent Loeskow, CFA
Associate Partner
Brent is an Associate Partner of RCP with responsibilities covering financial modelling, portfolio management (maintaining of portfolio positions, portfolio reporting) and deal origination of agricultural and water assets.
Brent holds a Bachelor of Commerce – Finance (Bond University), a Bachelor of Law – Honours (Bond University) and is a CFA Charterholder.
Previously, held various roles in agriculture investment, agricultural asset management as well as corporate advisory.
Sam Espie
Director
Sam is a Director – Investment Specialist with RCP responsible for investor relations and capital markets in Australia.
Sam holds a Certificate of Financial Markets (Securities Institute of Australia) and a Professional Diploma in Stockbroking (Deakin Prime).
Previously Sam ran Capital Markets for Auctus Investment Group in Sydney specialising in Institutional, Family Office, UHNW, HNW, research and advisory markets. Prior to this Sam worked extensively in real assets and private market funds management.
Doug Walden
Investment Operations Manager
Doug is the Investment Operations Manager of RCP, responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Riparian’s water & farmland investments including ongoing optimisation and innovation in business systems, processes, and data analysis.
Doug holds a Bachelor of Business Finance & Funds Management at Queensland University of Technology and is currently finalising a Master of Agribusiness at University of Queensland.
Previously, Doug held roles in investment operations management and analysis including project managing data infrastructure solutions building at Pinnacle Investment Management, and executing data infrastructure design & uplift projects at QIC for alternative asset funds & strategies.
