Riparian Capital Partners adds to team 

24 July 2019 – Riparian Capital Partners Pty Limited (‘RCP’), a Brisbane-based specialist Water, Agriculture and Food investment firm, announced today that Michael Blakeney has joined the team as a Managing Partner.

Michael Blakeney said: “I’m excited to be joining the Riparian team.  The business has a great opportunity to add value across the agriculture sector, with a strong partner in Pinnacle Investment Management and a highly experienced team with a history of working together to deliver strong results for investors.”    

Blakeney was formerly an Investment Director of the Blue Sky Real Assets division, where he was responsible for originating and managing investments across the agriculture sector.  Prior to that he was a senior executive managing PrimeAg Australia Limited’s portfolio of irrigated farms, and previously was responsible for Warakirri’s broadacre farming investment portfolio.  He has deep experience across the agriculture sector and has worked closely with the other members of the RCP team.

Blakeney will be heavily involved in the management of RCP and RCP’s flagship Water, Agriculture and Food investment strategy. The strategy will provide domestic and offshore institutional investors with access to investments across the Australian agricultural sector. RCP continue to see compelling investment opportunities and have been encouraged by the response from the market.
